About this group

What if you didn't have to spend your life trying to become good enough? Maybe you understand where your self-criticism comes from. Maybe you've been in therapy for years. And yet there is still a voice inside that tells you you're too much, not enough, behind, failing, disappointing someone—or that everyone else deserves the compassion you have such a hard time giving yourself. Learning to Love the Self is a small, eight-week online therapy group for people who want to change that relationship with themselves. We'll explore how family, relationships and culture shape shame and self-criticism, and practice something different together: self-compassion, acceptance, connection and learning to relate to ourselves with greater kindness. Learn about culture's impact on the epidemic of self hatred and how to counteract it. Join with others in creating a community of support. Participate in a group focused on learning to grow more self love and self compassion. Group is open to all humans but limited to 8 people to assist in creating ongoing member support. We will meet on Wednesdays at 4pm - 5pm for 8 weeks next session is 9/30/26 - 11/25/26 We meet using a secure version of zoom, please provide the email to receive a zoom link. Fee for group is sliding scale (please reach out if the rate is not affordable for you) with rate of $50 per session, please pre-pay before each group session or ask for a further discounted entire 8 week up front payment option.
