About this group

DID YOU KNOW? There's growing evidence that group-based tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs) build cohesion and interpersonal bonds, working as a form of play therapy? As adults, life gets busy, and in that busyness we often forget how to play. We develop defensiveness, lose trust, and hit communication breakdowns without ever getting the chance to repair the ruptures. If that sounds familiar, that's where Dungeon Crawlin' Couples comes in. This group is designed for couples looking to strengthen connection, emotional attunement, and communication while also letting their inner child play again. Over the course of 9 weeks, we'll practice advocating for ourselves, listening to our partners, and solving problems together, all in a low-stakes, imaginative setting. No tabletop gaming experience needed. The Details: 9-week virtual group, starting October 7th Wednesdays, 7:00–9:00 PM Hosted on Zoom and Owlbear (virtual tabletop) Each session: 15-minute check-in → 90 minutes of gameplay → 15-minute debrief Led by Game Master Michael Abdon, LMHC Cost: $100/person/session or $1,500/couple if paid in full. Ready to throw dice and dive into dungeons together? Email Michael@HealingMomentsCounseling.net to inquire about registration. Spots are limited, so act fast!
